Job Description
You are Responsible for
- Advocating for good user experience across our platform by representing our users in design brainstorming discussions.
- Speaking to the Users, Business and PMs to understand pain points and opportunities.
- Delivering on the initiatives as per plan, while providing inputs to influence the larger problems we should be solving.
- Influencing the PMs and UI Engineering team to continuously make improvements to the product experience.
- Identifying the appropriate UX methods and tools to use depending on project constraints.
- Prototyping solutions to solve complex problems.
- Contributing to our growing design system of patterns in an effort to cultivate a cohesive look, feel, and user experience across the entire Flipkart platform.
To succeed in this role – you should have the following
- A deep understanding of the end-to-end iterative UX process, including personas, scenarios, wireframing, content modeling, prototyping, user research, and design systems that can be demonstrated through your portfolio.
- Ability to communicate your empathy and advocacy for users, by solving complex problems and prototyping audacious solutions.
- Ability to use the appropriate UX methods and tools depending on project constraints. Thinking in terms of design systems and reusable components.
- Excellent written and communication skills in any language. Openness to share and defend or refine your designs based on peer feedback and testing.
- Hands-on experience with Figma, Principle, and Adobe Photoshop (or equivalent programs), as well as relevant fundamental knowledge of front-end technologies to understand the constraints of the platform.
- 6 to 8 years of experience in product design or user experience design for mobile and/or desktop form factors.
- Experience or active interest in shopping, retail, merchandising, or fashion influencing, is a bonus.
