Job Description


  • Partner with cross-functional core stakeholders within both engineering, product management and field teams to lead the technology direction and facilitate key technical decision points.
  • Collaborate with multiple engineering groups within Cisco to drive E2E solutions and enable demonstrating of technologies and help in FedRAMP certification.
  • Work closely with Product leads to drive product and technology strategy.
  • Build a culture of execution excellence coupled with innovation.
  • Provide On-Call support for services running in production.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's or equivalent experience in Computer Science with 11 to 15+ years' experience in designing, analysing, and solving large-scale distributed systems
  • Professional software development experience in
  • C/C++, Python and Go(Nice to Have)
  • Or C#, Python and Go(Nice to Have)
  • As a Technical Lead you will be working as part of a technically skilled team to lead, develop and maintain critically important components and features, running on public cloud.
  • Deep technical expertise on cloud technologies and cloud architectural patterns. Key technology areas include HTTP/HTTPS, Proxy, API services, Containerization, Micro-services, Application monitoring and Elastic scaling.
  • Experience in handling a large scale SaaS service - both development and operations.
  • Agile and lean practices, DevOps culture and iterative customer feedback based development is a key aspect of our culture.
  • Sound technical depth - ability to go deep into technical architecture and design when needed to solve a complex problem.
  • Strong engineering delivery and execution track record using agile continuous deployment process
  • Validated leadership skills on building leadership talent pipeline coaching/mentoring, collaboration beyond boundaries, managing without authority and leading change.
  • An attitude of continuous improvement and making in to the DNA of the team.
  • Debugging and Solve: Solid ability to diagnose and resolve software issues quickly.

Highly desirable competencies

  • Experience in building cloud delivered SaaS based security solutions
  • Expertise in Security domain - exposure to CASB, network or web security technologies and industry trends - firewalls, web security, intrusion detection and prevention systems and DNS based security
  • Good knowledge of emerging cyber threats and threat intelligence techniques to detect and remediate threats
  • Experience on cloud, network and end point technologies
  • Proven skills in handling a high growth business and scaling engineering teams
  • Experience building or maintaining Software, Library, infrastructure hardening to meet FedRAMP, SOC2 or ISO27001 compliance.
  • Master's degree on Computer Science or Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • Incident Management: Familiarity with incident management processes and tools (e.g., PagerDuty).
  • Service-Level Agreements (SLAs): Understanding of SLAs and how to ensure compliance.
  • Documentation: Ability to create and maintain clear and detailed documentation for fix procedures and system architecture.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Skilled in performing post-incident reviews and root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences
