The Local Tax job family at Procter & Gamble focuses on leading all direct and indirect tax matters within specific countries. This includes ensuring accurate tax returns and timely tax payments, leading local tax forecasting and projects, and providing guidance on local tax compliance and reporting requirements.

Job Description:

As a Local Tax professional at Band 1 level, you will be responsible for handling all direct and indirect tax matters within a specific country. You will ensure accurate tax returns, timely tax payments, and effective management of tax audits. Additionally, you will handle local tax forecasting and projects, and in some markets, you may be responsible for legal entity stewardship and governance from an accounting perspective.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising business on tax implications on various transactions
  • Finding opportunities in tax reporting / compliance and process streamlining
  • Making recommendations on sophisticated transactions from tax technical, compliance and reporting standpoint
  • Supporting the tax team on audits and litigations, including data preparation and review
  • Resolve tax opportunities, lead related initiatives, engagement and implementation process.

Job Qualifications

  • Chartered Accountant with minimum 1-3 years of experience in tax matters with a passionate knowledge and proficiency in India tax legislations.
  • Work experience in a multinational company or consultancy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills and a good collaborative phenomenal teammate
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and a strong affinity in tax and accounting proficiencies.
  • Ability to initiate, own and lead projects, and implement assignments in timelines, taking end to end accountability
