What you’ll do:
You will be responsible for ensuring that software components are expertly designed, tested, debugged, verified, and ready for integration into IBM’s world-class products, helping organizations improve their business outcomes in the global marketplace. We are looking for:

• A strong desire to work as software engineers through all phases of the development lifecycle
• An understanding of software development principles and testing methodologies such as the Agile lifecycle, along with a high degree of adaptability, drive, and willingness to accept new challenges

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• 1-2 years of relevant experience
• Working experience in Java and Linux
• Software problem solving and diagnostic skills
• Experience of Agile and DevOps development techniques
• Good communication skills, both verbally and digitally Understanding of OS fundamentals
• An eagerness to learn and exploit new technologies and computer languages

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Experience of working with z/OS, Test Automation (Ansible)
• Experience of working with open source projects
• Presentation skills and the ability to share knowledge
• Experience using source control management systems
