- Technical Leadership -- Provides technical leadership to software engineers by means of coaching and mentorship throughout E2E software development, maintenance, and lifecycle to achieve project goals to the required level of quality. Promotes team engagement and motivation.
- Task Management - Provides input to the software engineering manager for estimates, resource needs, milestones and risks. Gets task assignments from the Software Engineering Manager. Defines work breakdown structure. Plans and leads task execution by assigning software engineers to tasks, ensuring effective delegation, monitoring tasks, identifying risks and handling mitigation and escalations.
- Engineering -- Provides hands-on technical and functional input to design, maintenance, build, integration and testing of complex software components according to functional and technical design specifications. Reviews and provides feedback and suggests solutions including operability perspective. Identifies areas of automation etc. Follows Amdocs software engineering standards, applicable software development methodologies and release processes. Performs code review and participates in test reviews.
- Analysis & Design - Analyzes and provides input for the requirements and provides impact assessment for new features or bug fixes. Make high-level design and establishes technical standards (for example, software coding standards, tools, and platforms). Performs scoping work with the customer.
- Communications - Represents/leads discussions related to product/application/modules/team (for example, leads technical design reviews). Builds relationships with internal customers/stakeholders. Represent the team in front of the customer.
- Quality - Enforces quality processes (such as performing technical root cause analysis and outlining corrective action for given problems), measures them and takes corrective actions in case of variances. Ensures all the project agreed deliverables are completed to the required level of quality.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement - Promotes and instills a culture of continuous improvement/efficiency to the software or business processes.
- Team work - Collaborates and adds value through participation in peer code reviews, provides comments and suggestions, and works with cross-functional teams to achieve goals.
All you need is...
- Critical Experiences
- Should have at least 6 years of experience in a software engineering role.
- Significant proficiency/in-depth knowledge in the domain (technology and/or products)
- Previous experience in leading tasks and/or mentoring engineers
- Thorough understanding of software development and/or support methodologies, principles and procedures and related software management tools.
- Experienced in functionality/specs definition; architecture and design.
- Experience in agile methodologies.
- Experienced in BU development/customization projects.
- Ability to work under pressure, work with several parties in parallel, lead cross tasks
- Credentials
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering

- Technical Competencies
- Data Engineering :
- Strong Experience on one of the big data platform ( Hadoop / Snowflake/ ADLS / Big query )
- Hands on experience on Java technology
- Experience on Spark or Azure Data bricks
- Strong SQL analysis skills
- Experience of working with Kafka
- Database Skills – Strong experience in Oracle and Data replication concepts.
- Cloud Skills – Good knowledge of any Cloud platform.
- Sound knowledge of Kubernetes and deployment methodologies
