About Aladdin

Aladdin is a suite of products used by both internal and external clients.  Aladdin brings together people, processes, and systems to help support a seamless investment process. About the team

Our development team, part of Aladdin Engineering, is responsible for the technology that supports the entire lifecycle from exploring opportunities, winning business, and bringing funds into the firm, to portfolio setup, client onboarding, and ongoing portfolio data and documentation functions. Our team operates in London, Budapest, New York, and Seattle, with a fast-paced agile mindset and a strong social culture that emphasizes team support across all workloads.

About responsibilities

  • Deliver functionality in a fast-paced development lifecycle with 2-week sprints and monthly releases.

  • Develop high-efficiency, high-availability, concurrent, and fault-tolerant software systems.

  • Expand your knowledge base and take the opportunity to work across different projects, platforms, and technology stacks.

  • Design and develop innovative solutions to complex problems, identifying issues and roadblocks.

  • Own and deliver projects on the key roadmap initiatives which are aligned with firm objectives.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with Java/Spring Framework/Sprint Boot.

  • Experience with relational databases.

  • Experience in building distributed applications using SQL and/or NOSQL technologies like MS SQL, Sybase, Cassandra, or Redis.

  • Experience designing and building scalable services using API-First principles.

  • Experience in message brokers such as Kafka is a plus.

  • Strong analytical and software architecture design skills.

  • Proven experience building modern software using engineering tools such as git, maven, unit testing, integration testing tools, and mocking frameworks.

  • Effective communication and presentation skills (written and verbal) are required.

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering is preferred.
