You will be working with the Platform Services team, with opportunity to learn & work on different product offerings - Topo, Routing, Messaging, & Config - that caters to different developer requirements / applications and is critical to PayPal business. We are a fast-paced team working on solving technical challenges for developers at PayPal. We are looking for someone who is curious to learn, be inspired and inspire others to change the way we do things, with focus on delivering the best end user experience, meeting our SLAs.

Your day to day

• Collaborating with software developers and customers in managing and maintaining the product.

• Ensure smooth user experience on the platform by monitoring, triaging, debugging and resolving end user issues, within the SLA's.

• Building, maintaining, and troubleshooting environments and tools used for testing and deployment

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide inputs to improve the product.

• Participating in on-call rotations to provide support for production systems

• Automating and streamlining processes to improve efficiency and reliability

• Participating in code and design reviews to ensure quality and consistency

• Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in DevOps

• Providing technical guidance and mentorship to other team members

• Accountable for incident reviews and post mortem.

What do you need to bring

• 2+ years of experience in DevOps / SRE role

• Experience with scaling, triaging, troubleshooting and managing issues on large distributed systems

• Experience on Java/ Springboot/ Restful API's

• Experience with Linux / Linux based operating system, and scripting languages like bash, Python, etc.

• Experience on Relational DBs, SQL

• Knowledge on DSL languages such as Terraform, Ansible, etc. would be a plus

• Familiarity with Messaging queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc) would be a plus.

• Familiarity with Node/ Javascript

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure will be a plus
