Job Description

Responsible for managing daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly data processing to support actuals and forecast/budget close process for the IBM Planning Analytics (aka TM1) platform and day to day BAU support.

  • The candidate will be responsible for managing large volumes of data, ensuring its accuracy and integrity. This involves loading data to the application, validating its correctness, and understanding the implications of the data on business operations and strategies.

  • Identify data anomalies, ensure accuracy of reports adhering to SOX guidelines.

  • Responsible for keeping relevant parties updated on downtimes, essential upgrades, or data anomalies, as well as confirming the process completion status.

  • Provide day-to-day user support for our IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) application.

  • Create and maintain process documentation to ensure it stays current as the process evolves.

  • Provide support for various finance functions – Controllers, FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) and Investor Relations (IR) to understand business uses cases for Planning Analytics development and enhancement work.

  • Understand principles of sound corporate operating procedures and business processes.

  • Maintain and support financial planning, forecasting and allocation-based models on IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) platform.

Experience Required:

  • 4+ years of relevant experience working in finance or technology roles.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are crucial for this role.

  • The candidate should have a natural curiosity and interest in data and technology. This involves staying updated with the latest technological trends, learning new tools and technologies, and understanding how they can be applied to improve business operations and automation of manual tasks.

  • A background in Finance, IT, or similar fields are preferred. Knowledge of financial instruments and markets is beneficial.

  • knowledge of Cognos TM1 / Planning Analytics development is desirable.
