Associate Director – Demand Management

We are looking for a strategic leader at an Associate Director level who would lead the demand management function for a specific Industry/Sector/competency/sub-competency. This dynamic individual would be required to work closely with senior leaders across various organization functions to manage end to end demand management.

Your Key Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities would include leading the demand management function for a specified Industry/sector /competency/sub-competency. This will include the following key responsibility areas:

Some of your key responsibilities include:

  • Demand Planning:
    • Working with Industry/Sector/Sub-Sector/Competency/Sub-competency leaders to forecast future demands
    • Demand plan creation based on visibility from the business leaders, industry trends, historical analysis etc.
    • Create insights for EM, TAA, and TD based on demand forecasts and plans
  • Demand Intake:
    • Guide the demand intake team to ensure all demands are entered accurately and timely
    • Change management across GDS and onshore teams to ensure demand intake process and technology adoption
  • Demand Prioritization: Create and implement demand prioritization criteria based on business inputs
  • Demand strategy implementation: Create and drive demand strategy for your respective business aligned with the overall SL and organization strategy with the right shape of pyramid, location mix, campus/lateral/gig mix etc.
  • Staffing plan creation: Creation of staffing plans based on demand strategy and demand prioritization for EM to fulfil
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive the CI agenda across Demand management processes to generate efficiency gains and improve processes in an agile way
  • Business Insights:
    • Create business insights across the demand lifecycle based on the demand and fulfilment dashboard
    • Ensure necessary reporting cadence with all stakeholders to provide visibility for demand - fulfilment lifecycle (demand creation, backlog, trends, pipeline, fulfilment status etc.)
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Represent Demand management function in key business, operations, talent, finance meetings
    • Work closely with business counterparts to get early demand signals for planning and partner with EM to provide the get the right view of our capacity and capability

Skills And Attributes For Success

Professional leaders with 10+ years of relevant experience in a services delivery organization. Candidates from other industries can also apply provided they understand the business models of a big4 organization and have deep experience in the demand management space.

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • 15+ years of experience in workforce management space with 7+ years of experience in the demand management area
  • Deep understanding of complete demand lifecycle including demand planning, demand intake, demand prioritization, demand strategy, staffing plan creation, and fulfilment
  • Post-graduate in a related field from a reputed university
  • Experience of working in an agile cross functional team as the DM lead would be required to work with multiple teams across Business, Ops, Talent, and Finance
  • Strong stakeholder management experience with the leadership team as the DM leader will be required to partner with senior leadership teams across functions
  • Strong forecasting and analytics capability to be able to generate demand -insights for business

  • Ability to lead and succeed in an ambiguous environment
  • Problem solving mindset and the ability to build something from scratch
  • Experience of coaching, mentoring, and leading teams
  • Understanding of agile methodologies and program management experience in large scale transformations programs
  • Experience of working in business development roles will also be an advantage
