As a Finance Analyst, you will play a crucial role in providing financial analysis, insights, and support to the finance team and business stakeholders. Your primary responsibility will be to analyze financial data, identify trends, and generate reports to aid in decision-making and drive financial performance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, accounting, and operations, to ensure accurate financial reporting and provide recommendations for process improvements. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of financial principles and practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct financial analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, to support strategic decision-making and financial planning processes.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and other financial metrics, to assess company performance and identify areas of improvement.
- Monitor and track key financial indicators, trends, and benchmarks to provide insights and recommendations for cost control, revenue optimization, and overall financial performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and refine financial models, projections, and business cases for new initiatives, investments, and projects.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and long-term financial plans, considering market trends, business objectives, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct financial research and analysis on industry trends, competitors, and market conditions to support strategic planning and identify business opportunities.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, adherence to accounting standards, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Participate in the month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals, reconciliations, and analysis of financial data.
- Identify process improvement opportunities within the finance function and develop and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay updated on industry developments, accounting standards, and financial regulations to ensure compliance and provide recommendations for necessary adjustments.
Must Have
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CFA, ACCA, or CPA are advantageous.
- Minimum 2-3 years' experience in Account Payable / Account Receivable. (Manufacturing industry preferred)
- Prior experience in financial accounting, management accounts, or audit is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices.
- Experience using SAP or other ERP systems is highly desirable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Willingness to work in the west part of Singapore and adhere to early office hours (7:30am - 4:48pm).
