The work you'll be doing as a SeniorEngineer - Software development for Verizon's Cloud Infrastructure supporting development of Software defined networks, deployment automation pipelines and other tooling for the infrastructure. You will be supporting a highly reliable infrastructure running critical network functions. You will be responsible for solving issues that are new and unique, which will provide the opportunity to innovate. This position involves the development of software for Verizon's Service Provisioning Platforms.

• Leading the Software Defined Network development team and to deliver new features
• Serving as developer for Openstack and Kubernetes based Cloud Infrastructure Deployment Automation pipeline
• Interfacing with the engineering and operations team to develop a collaborative process for handoff ensuring supportability and on time delivery.
• Building DevOps tools for CI/CD based deployment of cloud infrastructure.
• Involving in DevOps lifecycle.
• Working with other engineering teams and complex tasks.

What we're looking for...

You'll need to have:

• Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Four or more years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in developing Ansible, Java and Micro services.
• Experience in architecture and designing of cloud native applications.
• Experience in SDN/NFV.
• Knowledge of IP Networking including Virtual Private Cloud, VPN, SDN, DNS, Load-balancing, and Firewalls.
• Experience in OS virtualization and containerization isolation technologies and automation.
• Experience in Full Stack development.
• Experience in following open source Kubernetes/Openshift deployment.
• Experience in programming languages (Java, Python, Go) and software debugging tools (jdb, jmx, pdb, gdb, delve)
• Experience in working with REST, RESTCONF and RPC services and other client/server models
• Knowledge of Building and delivering mission critical.
• Knowledge of Telecom Domain including 4G, 5G, Networking, Virtualization, MANO.
• Experience in serving technical leadership role and managing work assignments and/or mentoring of junior level staff.

• New technology validation and prototyping experience.
• SDN platform architecture and development experience.
• Open API (REST/ RESTCONF) and data modeling (YANG) verification and development experience
• SDN based API interface integration with NETCONF and gRPC/gNMI/gNOI/gRIBI experience.
• Experience in developing SDN applications using Microservice architecture
• SDN ecosystem development and integration experience.
• Experience in integrating and developing messaging infrastructures (kafka, thrift, proto-buf)
• Database development experience (MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra, SQL/NoSQL).
