Job Description
- Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers.
- Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps.
- Facilitate their team for better creativity and tries to improve the efficiency of the development team.
- Conducts user interviews, concept walk-throughs, and usability testing; and, analyzes feedback for overall product improvement.
- Create personas through user research and data.
- Define the right interaction model and evaluate its success.
- Develops wireframes and prototypes around customer needs.
- Find creative ways to solve UX problems (e.g. usability, findability, accessibility, etc.)
- Implement attractive designs including user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets. And can graphically create components and resources as needed.
- Communicate design ideas and prototypes to all manner of stakeholders.
Skills:
- Fast learner.
- Background in customer research.
- Expert use of Figma a big plus. (Or similar expertise in Sketch, Adobe XD, and a willingness to adapt to Figma quickly.)
- Must be able to rapidly create solutions through designs and prototypes—and communicate those designs effectively.
- Proficient in software design.
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS, Adobe Suite, and other relevant software.
- Problem-solving aptitude.
- Must understand enough about development to know what is feasible or at least have a productive conversation about it with development.
- Analytical mind with a business acumen.
- Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
- Willingness to be the customer advocate and brave enough to defend that position. Also needs to know how to get to a compromise for the sake of deadlines.
- An online portfolio is a must. You will be asked to speak to your previous work.
Qualifications & Experience
- BA in Design or related UX field.
- 5+ years of experience as a UX Designer, UI Designeror similar role.
- Previous experience working in an Agile environment.
- Any experience with electrical industry is a plus.
