We are looking for a Senior Business Data Steward to join our Global Data Governance function. Your creativity will be challenged daily to design and build various data quality solutions to enable strategic business goals.

The opportunity

As part of the Data Governance Team, you will be responsible for identifying and understanding business issues. Closely collaborate with both business stakeholders, including leadership, as well as development teams to provide solutions that enable the business to maintain efficient operations and meet compliance objectives. Be the primary quality control analyst for the management of Critical Data Elements (CDEs).

Your Key Responsibilities

• Identify key/critical elements that require governance based on priority and impact assessments
• Promote awareness and ownership of data assets – establish relations
• Establish and define data standards, definitions, and rules
• Document data flow, process, and controls
• Develop, implement and improve data management procedures
• Analyse and design KPIs and data quality metrics to detect and prioritize issues
• Analyse, design, and implement remediation procedures including cleansing, process, and system enhancements.

Skills And Attributes For Success

• Proactively identify key/critical data elements associated with business issues
• Design, implement and enhance data profiling, modelling, and integration solutions
• Understand business issues and risks from process and controls, data management, and system integration perspectives
• Mature people and stakeholder management skills that enable ongoing mitigation of risks associated with key data elements

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Core competencies in Data Analytics / Data Governance / Master Data Management
• Analyse, design, and implement remediation procedures to improve data quality, and enhance data flow and system controls
• Mastery level including 7 years’ experience in:
• Data Profiling and Modelling using recognized tools / protocols
• Data Integration and denormalization
• Data Analytics
• MS SQL Query Skills

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Knowledge of SAP, PeopleSoft, other ERP data models and operations
• Experience in Data Quality Analysis, Cleansing and Conversion projects
