For Unilever to remain competitive in the future, the business needs to continue the path to become data intelligent. The Data & Insights team will persevere to make Unilever Data Intelligent - powering key decisions with data, insights, advanced analytics and AI.

This Data & Analytics function endeavours to create clear accountabilities for all aspects of Data Strategy, Data Management, Information Management, Analytics, and Insights. We would be accountable for impact of solutions, maintaining market relevance and minimising unnecessary overlaps in analytics products, ensuring simplicity and that our solutions better meet the needs of our users.

We would partner with the Digital and Data Legal Counsel to ensure that our Data Defence (Privacy, Governance, Quality, etc) is well structured and sufficiently robust to use data and AI correctly throughout the enterprise. We would democratize information across the business, while supporting the culture shift required for data driven decision making. Further, this team would drive capacity unlock from manual and duplicative reporting capabilities, while also refocusing a portion of the unlock on embedding predictive and prescriptive analytics capabilities into our highest potential opportunities.

Main Purpose Of The Job

Be the Business Partner to the Supply Chain O2C (Order To Cash) business Operations teams, define & create advance analytical solution that make a significant impact on our business and drive competitive advantage in the market.

The Product Manager plays a key role within D&A, owning solution development and leading the Product Team from high level proposal through to delivery. The Product Manager owns project budgets, timelines and designs and is the accountable person within the team to the business. Product Managers retain ownership of their products once they are live, and act as a key conduit between the business teams & DevOps teams for ensuring products are appropriately supported and further developed where necessary.

Key Accountabilities

The role will manage one or few products for the O2C business function. The role will be responsible for full lifecycle of product, working collaboratively to define the product user journey, defining the data lake needs, how products will be designed, costing of delivery, managing delivery, deployment and ongoing upgrades and improvements. The product manager will co-ordinate a team of Business Analysts, Data SMEs, BDL and Solution Factory scrum teams and users to deliver and support each product, ultimately owning the plan, managing the costs and the user satisfaction NPS scores.

  • Lead the development of business requirements; user journey; and benefits identification to feed into the business case for the new diagnostic & advanced analytics products
  • Bring design Thinking & innovation mindset– guiding customer operations & Business Groups team in the digitization agenda with newer capabilities in data & analytics
  • Oversee product functional/ non-functional design and ensure Capability Teams’ members of the squad develop solutions which meet the business requirements
  • Develop; own; and manage all project costs & timelines
  • Work with the Data Lake & Solution Factories to ensure project deliverables are appropriately costed & scheduled in-line with project expectations
  • Work with the business to test solutions & functionality
  • Drive adoption of launched product into the market
  • Own products developed in BAU and work with the business/ Solution Factory to ensure DevOps requests are appropriately managed, budgeted and delivered

Essential

Experience and qualifications required:

  • Supply Chain process knowledge – especially Order Management, Fulfilment & Cash Collection
  • Good understanding of data and KPIs in Supply Chain
  • Strong Business Partnering capability and experience.
  • Experience of delivering analytical projects and working with multiple business teams and stakeholders
  • Global Project Management, Budgeting and Tracking
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong enough knowledge of data science to be able to communicate plans, results and performance to stakeholders
  • Ability to lead a team in a complex ambiguous environment
